Greetings, Community!

Welcome to our very first DEV Blog for our game – a steampunk adventure that transports you into the world of the continent Renalvia. Although I’ve been passionately working on this project for nearly three years and have had a small, dedicated team for the past six months, we are officially kicking off our public updates now. I’m thrilled to give you an insider’s look at our development progress and the exciting features planned for the game.

About

In our game, you assume the role of a leader summoned to the capital Norinwall from one of several diverse backgrounds you can choose from – tasked with an important mission. The esteemed strategist Garreth Larsen, ruler of the continent, trusts you with the revival of a mysterious outpost on a long-forgotten island. Your adventure will not only take you through thrilling quests but also into the hidden depths of the past, where ancient secrets and tragic fates await.

Platforms: The game will initially launch on PC (Steam, Epic, GoG) and, hopefully, later on Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, and even on smartphones (iOS, Android).

Target Audience: Our game is primarily designed for steampunk enthusiasts and casual gamers.

Meet Our Team

Behind our game is a small yet dedicated team:

  • Michael: Production, Engineering, Marketing, PR, Studio Operations, Publishing, QA & Community
  • Clawson: Design & Story
  • Corey: Art – Concept
  • Seoyeon: Art – UI/UX
  • Andrew: Music & Audio

What We’re Proud Of So Far

Even though our game is still in development, we’ve already implemented several engaging systems:

  • A dynamic time and weather system (rain, snow, thunderstorms)
  • A comprehensive farming system (plowing, seeding, growing, harvesting)
  • Economy and quest systems
  • Diverse items, placeable objects, and a dialogue system
  • A player controller (handling movement, inventory, interaction and even fishing)
  • Interactive elements, crafting and cooking recipes, along with resource management (trees, stones, etc.)
  • And much more – with the combat system (including weapons and mechanics) currently in the works.

We work with Unity, C#, FMOD, and Aseprite. Despite the early challenges and working without “perfect” assets – we’re proud of how far we’ve come.

Music and Sound

Music plays a central role: Beyond a compelling title theme, there are seasonal tracks – Farmmusic for spring, summer, autumn, and winter – as well as a unique loading theme that draws you into the game’s atmosphere. Depending on the situation, the music seamlessly shifts from relaxed melancholy to an uplifting and heroic crescendo.

What’s Next?

Having built many of the core systems and laid the foundation of our story, our next focus is on fine-tuning and expanding the combat mechanics.

Engaging with you is very important to us – we’re planning regular updates (approximately once a month) and would love to hear your feedback, ideas, and support on social media, especially on our Discord.
